Constipation means very hard stools or difficulty in bowel movements.  If the amount of fiber or water in the food is less, then the food in the intestines moves slowly and the large intestine continues to absorb water from it, due to which it becomes gradually hardened and there is difficulty in passing stool.

Causes of constipation:-

  • Foods that are high in fat and sugar and have low fiber.

  • Do not take a lot of fluids.

  • Staying inactive.

  • Do not go to the toilet when you want a bowel movement.


Symptoms of constipation:-

   • Cramps, pain, flatulence or nausea

   • Feel like your bones are not completely empty

   • Have to push for bowel movements

   • Put a pinch of black salt in lukewarm water and drink it on an empty stomach in the morning and walk for 15 minutes, constipation will definitely be relieved.

  • Include coarse grains in your food.  Including the salad available according to the season, can relieve constipation and all other stomach problems permanently.

  • Raisins are rich in fiber, soak raisins in water overnight and eat on an empty stomach in the morning.

  • Guava also provides great relief in constipation.  Its pulp and seeds contain a fair amount of fiber.  Food is digested quickly by its intake and acidity is also relieved as well as stomach is also cleared.

  • Mixing lemon and salt in a glass of lukewarm water, drinking on an empty stomach in the morning can also help relieve constipation.

   • Drink at least 8-10 glasses of water a day.  Lukewarm or warm water can help your intestines function smoothly.

  • Eat more fiber items like raw vegetables, fresh or dried fruits, dry fruits and popcorn.  Fibers help excrete feces from the body.

  • Walking in constipation is beneficial.

  • Go to the toilet when you want to pass a bowel movement.
