Blistering or drying of the lips is a common problem which can be quite painful and due to this the face also looks ugly.  Some common symptoms of lip eruptions are - dryness of the lips, redness, crust and pain.

 The main causes of lip eruptions are: -

 Vitamin deficiency, allergic reaction, dehydration, smoking , lack of proper care of lips, exposure to direct sun rays and extreme cold or harsh weather.

 Many commercial products are present in the market to treat dry and chapped lips.  But by adopting some easy natural remedies, you can get rid of this problem and save your money.


 Home remedies to cure chapped lips: -


 sugar :-

 Their healing process is speeded up by removing dead cells from chapped lips.  Use sugar to remove dead cells from the lips.

 •Make a paste by mixing one teaspoon of honey in two teaspoons of sugar.

 •Now apply this paste on your lips and leave it for a while.

 • Now gently rub the lips with your finger.  By doing this, the grip of dead cells will be weakened and they will be ejected easily.

 •Then wash your lips with lukewarm water.

 

Honey: -

 Honey is a very good moisturizer that provides moisture to the lips.  It also has healing and antibacterial properties that help in quick healing of cracked lips.

 •Apply pure organic honey on your lips four to five times a day.

 •Or, make a paste by mixing equal amounts of honey and glycerin and apply it on your lips before bedtime.  By morning your lips will become soft.


 Rose petals :-

 The rose plant in your garden can also help in healing chapped lips.  This will provide moisture to the lips as well as make them pink and attractive.

 •Clean a handful of rose leaves in water properly.  Now soak them in milk for a few hours.

 •Then mash these leaves and make a thick paste.

 •Apply this paste on your lips three to four times a day.  Apply it on your lips even before sleeping at night.


 coconut oil :-

 Coconut oil is a natural moisturizer that helps to heal chapped lips due to cold and dry weather.  To keep your lips moist, apply coconut oil on your lips three to four times a day.  You can also use olive oil  instead of coconut oil, it also has similar moisturizing properties.


  Castor oil :-

   Castor oil also helps in healing dry and chapped lips.

 •Apply castor oil on your lips three to four times a day.

•Or, add one teaspoon of castor oil and glycerin and add a few drops of lemon juice on top.  Now mix it properly and apply it on your lips before sleeping at night.  Soak a piece of cotton in warm water in the morning and clean your lips.  Do this treatment daily until your lips are completely healed.


 Milk Cream: -

There is an excessive amount of fat in milk cream which acts like a very good natural moisturizer.

 •Apply fresh milk cream on your lips and leave it for 10 minutes.  Then clean your lips slowly with wet cotton soaked in warm water.

 •By doing this daily, your lips will heal faster.

  You can also use butter instead of cream of milk.  It also contains an excessive amount of fat.


 Aloe vera gel :-

Aloe vera gel

 Aloe vera is considered very beneficial in any skin problem.  Applying a little aloe vera gel on your lips every day speeds up their healing process and reduces pain.


 Cucumber :-

 Another easy and natural way to cure chapped lips is cucumber.

 •Rub a piece of cucumber on your lips, so that its juice is properly applied to the lips.

 •Now leave it for 15 to 20 minutes and then wash it with water.

 •To cure your lips faster, do this treatment three to four times a day.


  Water :-

 Lack of dehydration or lack of water in the skin can also cause problems with lip rupture.  Therefore, drink sufficient amount of water to keep your body hydrated.  Take one or two glasses of water every day in the morning, before meals and before bedtime.

 Water helps keep the body hydrated as well as flush out toxins.  Therefore, drinking plenty of water is necessary to keep the body healthy.

 The above remedies are very effective in curing dry and chapped lips.  But, to keep the lips from breaking out again, keep them moist enough, keep the body hydrated, avoid going into extreme temperature and eat healthy diet.
